he PUREH2O water purification plant BLUEBOX 1200 is based on reverse osmosis (R/O), and consist of cartridge filters, active carbon and UV-light. The purification methods are well known and used.
 
The combination of these filtering methods, sturdy material, simple construction in a plastic container, easy operation, large capacity, low energy consumption, and the mobility is what makes the products of PUREH2O unique. PURE2O´s mobile basic plant – BLUEBOX 1200 has a cleaning capacity of at least 1,200 liters of drinking water per hour. The plant only weighs about 225 kilos and has a volume of less than a cubic meter.

PUREH2O´s plant employs a self-priming diaphragm pump, which sucks water directly from lakes, rivers, water ponds etc. The following filtration process removes virus, bacteria, heavy metals and pesticides etc. The purified water is finally as a safety precaution exposed to strong UV-lighting effectively killing off all microorganisms.

The system is delivered with an integrated pump energized by an electrical engine fitted with frequency converter. The recommended drive force for a PUREH2O plant is a generator at places where there is no acces to permanent electrical supply. The plant may alternatively be supplied with integrated engine.

Water purified through PUREH2O´s BLUEBOX plant has been tested at state-controlled Danish and foreign laboratories. The tests demonstrate that end users at virtually all places with access to surface water can get clean drinking water that is in compliance with WHO standards.

The simple construction of the system makes it operative in less than 5 minutes irrespective of end users qualifications.

What is cartridge filters?
Cartridge filters were once considered only as a point-of-use water treatment method for removal of larger particles. However breakthroughs in filter design, such as the controlled use of blown microfibres filters. Cartridge filters are usually disposal and cost effective, and are available in the particle removal size 0,5-100 microns. Generally, they are not an absolute method of filtration since a small amount of particles within the micron range may pass into the filtrate. However there are an increasing number of filters in the marketplace that feature near absolute retention ratings.What is activated carbon?
Activated carbon is a porous material, mainly consisting of elementary carbon and having a huge internal surface area. Activated carbon is similar to ion exchange resin in density and porosity. it adsorbs many dissolved organics and eliminates chlorine and other halogens in water. It does not remove salts. Active carbon filters are one of the only low-cost methods available to remove low.molecular weight (<100MW) organics and chlorine.What is reverse osmosis (RO)?
Reverse osmosis was the first cross flow membrane separation process to widely commercialised. RO removes most organic compounds, bacteria/viruses and up to 99% of all ions. A selection of RO membranes is available to address varying water condition and requirements.

What is ultraviolet light (UV)?
Radiation having a wavelength shorter than visible light but no longer than X-rays. UV-light with a wavelength of 254 nm is used to kill bacteria and destroy ozone. UV kills the micro organism by destroying the DNA/RNA – structure in the micro organism.
